Every station, hindcast over the last 50 years

For every flood-relevant station we track worldwide, each year's alert is recomputed using only the data available at the time. Each coloured cell is a confirmed catastrophe graded by its return period — a 1-in-5 up to a 1-in-200-year event (bigger number = rarer). Once one strikes, the warning resets for as long as that event was rare. Click any cell to open news coverage. Routine, near-annual flooders are excluded — this is about natural disasters.
